This piece appeals to me, probably because time looks a lot like this to me . The layering of the images and graphics from New York make the piece seem dreamlike, maybe even a little nightmarish. Perhaps the perspective of a drunkard wandering through the city in it's seedier days? I see a little bit of Dali's Persistence of Memory and a smidge of steam punk, too. The warped quality of the images and the large beaked black bird overlooking the scene lend the piece an ominous quality. I think the limited color scheme of the glowing ambers and golds against bold black make the image very strong and foreboding. This image is so very layered that it has a limitless number of interpretations, which I find to be very interesting. Impressive work!
